BACKGROUND
No company can live without telecommunication. Telecommunication refers to not only voice but also the most important thing nowadays is data communication. It plays critical role to support day to day business activity. On the other hand, the telecommunication technology moves rapidly. In order to have good communication, the infrastructure is the key factor to generate reliable communication system.

Speaker :

  1. Hendrawan, MSc, Ph.D, Ir.
    is a lecturer at Telecommunication Engineering Department of ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology). He received his master degree in 1990 and Ph.D degree in 1994 both from University of Essex, UK. His expertise is telecommunication and information system, and electronic system engineering. To sharpen his knowledge and expertise he also got chances to overseas training such as Digital Signal Processing at University of Karlsruch, Austria (1988), Neural Network and Image Communication at Essex summer course UK (1991), NATO Advance Study Institute School on Image Processing and Pattern Recognition at Bonas France (1992), Digital Telecommunication Technology at AOS Japan (1997), and OPNET Network Modeling and Simulation Tool (1997). As well as education experience he also has much practical and professional works i.e. Interconnection Analysis Team for Exelcomindo & Satelindo, Team for SS7 Implementation & Evaluation at PT. Telkom, Switch Development at PT. INTI Bandung, Micro Demand Resear
  2. M. Ridwan Effendi, MA.Sc, Ir.
    was graduated from Electrical Engineering Department of ITB Bandung in 1987. He then continued to study at University of Waterloo Canada and received his master degree in 1993. He gives public course and in-house course in Telecommunication Engineering and Application at Department of Post and Telecommunication of Indonesia and PT. Telkom. As well as a lecturer at Telecommunication Department of ITB he actively conducts research, and publishes a papers such as Implementation of Viterbi Algorithm on FPGA, Adaptive VHF Antenna Implementation, Design of Power Amplifier for Satellite Communication System, Implementation Strategy of WLL in Indonesia, IP Traffic over Wireless Assessment, Wireless ATM with physical Layer CDMA.
